Object Lesson Depicting "Faith Without Sight" | 2 Corinthians 5:7 | Grades 4-8
Help your students viscerally feel the term "faith without sight" (from 2 Corinthians 5:7) by using an ordinary envelope. Inside the envelope you will place a piece of paper with a word written on it with only the paper itself visible as a "shadow" through the envelope.
✴️Throughout the lesson, students "vote" on what they think the word is based on (a) your credibility as their teacher and (b) an "eyewitness testimony" of a fellow student who is given the chance to see the word. Because the word written on the paper is never revealed, students are taught that just like their faith in God, they do not actually have to see with their own eyes to believe.
Included:
▶️Four page lesson plan written in a conversational style
▶️Five tally sheets
▶️Two page pre-class preparations with step by step instructions
